Thrift Thursdays, Happy Halloween

Hello Everyone,
I 'm back with another edition of thrift Thursdays for all my budget fashionistas out there. If you are one of those individuals that regularly get into the theme of Halloween, you may know how expensive it can be to find that perfect costume. However, it does not have to be that way, if you keep these three words in mind: creativity, vision and confidence.
This year I decided to be a nurse, but with a twist. The average nurse costume on Halloween is usual quite sexy, I went for a different approach, paying tribute to the early pioneers of the profession. No make up, and no glamour. Everything was thrifted or we already had it in our closets. Full credit goes to my little sister for this costume, it's actually hers but I loved the concept. You can also add red dye or paint your face to make the coustume scarier.

Plaid Full Skirt- Thrift Thursdays

Hello everyone,
I had a wonderful opportunity to partner up with some great bloggers to present to you thrift Thursdays. The theme this week was grey, and as you can see I responded to the challenge. This season, full skirts have been one of the hottest trends out there, that anyone can easily wear. I'm only 5'2 1/2 and petite, however it still works for me.

Two weeks ago The Salvation Army Thrift store was having a $2 sale, I went with the intention of buying dress pants only. Instead, I walked out with a bag full of stuff, which was not exactly part of the plan at all, and no dress pants. In the bag of goodies was this awesome full skirt that I styled below. The skirt is wonderful because it's right on trend with it being plaid . I also loved the neutral colours of navy blue, grey and cream.
Please visit the other bloggers to see what they came up with:

Lastly Happy Toronto Fashion Week to all my Toronto pals. Unfortunately, I have not been able to make it to any of the shows, but if I did I would have rocked this outfit for sure.

Until Next Time,
Sincerely miss j

Long time no see

Hello everyone! I know! How dare I leave everyone hanging for so long, and how crazy of me to build this little corner on the internet and abandon it like that. Well, I can explain, at least I think I can. I have been hiding in the real world. Unfortunately, I was sick for awhile, and was consumed with an endless stream of school work.
So, I'm back with a quick outfit post and also to announce that sincerely miss j is now on twitter! Please follow me at @sincerelymissj or click the twitter button on the right of the screen to follow.
Today's outfit is very causal, and pretty effortless. This hat from H&m was a hit, I had 3 people ask me where I got it from. Unfortunately, I got it last season. Well I shall be back soon!

Until Next time,
Sincerely miss j
