Snake Skin and Checkers

Hey Everyone,

Happy Tuesday!! I am back with another outfit post which is pretty simple, neutral, and great for the cold spring weather. I love incorporating whites into outfits, particularly during the spring and summer months because it's bright and fresh looking. I actually love white and have used it in a majority of my room decor. I know what your thinking how weird. However, if you get past the dirt factor, it's really convenient as a backdrop for anything.

I decided to pair the white blazer that I got at Zara with a snake skin print dress, leather bag, and a checkered patterned pair of heels. The combination gives interest but isn't overwhelming to the eye, due to the use of similar colour palettes and neutral tones.

I love the dress and have worn it many times. Unfortunately it was purchased a long time ago so it is no longer available in stores. The dress can be worn layered like above or by itself like how I wore it below.

The above picture was taken months ago, but I had completely forgotten about  them until I saw them on my computer while preparing this post. The fuchsia necklace was purchased at Icing, and the clutch at Burlington Coat Factory. The heels were thrifted.

Hope you enjoy the post
Until Next time,
Sincerely Miss J

Walking highlighter

Hello Everyone,

I have decided to add new posts every Tuesdays and Fridays, so please check back on those following days. The weather seems to be warming up a bit, however there are still periods of rain, chilly mornings and nights mixed with humid afternoons. Therefore, coordinating appropriate attire for the weather lately has become an impossible task.

With the highly anticipated summer approaching, I decided to step away from my monochromatic netural color palette and invite  some neon pink pants that I purchased at H&M to come out and shine.  Though they seem difficult to work with they are actually quite versatile!

The key to wearing bright or patterned pants is to keep the rest of the items neutral or muted. However, if you are feeling adventurous just skip the neutral or muted colors and continue with more bold patterns or colors!

Until Tuesday
Sincerely Miss J

Is anybody out there, hello blog world!

Hello everyone,

Its been a long time since I made a blog post. I have been trying to keep up with all the things weighing on me in the real world and had to take a break from the blog world. However, I have missed you all.

I have come back to ensure you  that I am back to stay for now.
Today, I have a outfit of the day that is modest and business like. Shout out to all my executive ladies, this is perfect for the office and can transition into night also by removing the cardigan or blazer (if you choose to wear a blazer instead)

I purchased this dress at Zara on sale for $20 last season, and it has proven to be a classic item in my closet that I can reach for, for many seasons to come.

The weather has been a bit unpredictable, on this particular day it was a bit cold.

Come back soon!!

Spring Preview!!

Hello Everyone,

So sorry that I have disappeared into the real world, school and work have been kicking my butt as of late. However, the end of school is somewhat near, well kind of! I am actually running to the library right now, and thought let me post this outfit post before I completely forget about it. Due to my crazy schedule, I now plan my outfits in advance and take pictures of them so I remember the combo I put together. Let me tell you, this planning business really helps.

So here is a simple  outfit in celebration of spring, which officially starts today. However, with the snow and major cold this week and yesterday, I will predict that spring weather may come much later this year. Now onto the outfit, my favorite part about this outfit is the Mango skirt, which I scored at the thrift store's 50% off sale awhile back. So I think it was no more than $3.

Anyways, Hope you enjoy the post!

Thrift Store Finds

Hello Everyone,

I am back with a quick haul post. I was given the suggestion from some of my friends to post my beloved thrift store finds. Thought it was a good idea for you guys to be able to see what I got. All of the items  are from  Value Village's 50% off sale that they recently had.

Why do you thrift Shop?
When I thrift shop I often find amazing quality items for low prices.Thrifting also allows me to keep up with the current trends and find unique items without breaking the bank.
Many people have the misconception that when you thrift, you can only discover vintage items. This is not necessarily  true, you can find current trends and basics if you know how to look. As you can see from my blog I am a thrifter but I am not really into vintage wear. So, now we move onto the haul.

Tommy Hilfiger shorts, almost brand new

RW & Co. blazer brand new
brand New
Loved these pointed black low heels
Brand new
I will be doing some alterations to the dress and black and white shorts. So, please stay tuned to see how I style these items

Hope you enjoy the haul until next time

Monochromatic

Hello Everyone,
The outfit post today showcases the monochromatic look using the oxblood colour trend. If you are a frequent visitor to my blog than you already know how much I love this colour, and these jeans by Guess.  What's also interesting about the outfit is the fact that  95% of it is thrifted. Yes, the grand total from top to bottom is less than $70. Now some people may say "Oh gosh $70, that's pricey". However, please keep in mind that this includes the hat, necklace, sweater, cardigan, jeans ( Guess jeans  not thrifted) and booties. So, who says you can't look on trend and chic on a major budget.
To break down the monochromatic look and keep me a bit warmer I opted for this greyish/black cardigan with black piping. When I saw it at the thrift store I fell in love with it. I also wore my black coat and a scarf when I actually left the house.

Well until next time!
Sincerely Miss J
