4 Tips & Tricks: Buying a Bra Online

Many of you may have seen the title and thought, "Really? Buying a bra online? Is that even possible?" Yes, it is and there are plenty of online stores that cater to those who want to shop for intimate wear from the comfort of their own homes.  For some women the mere act of driving to a store, looking for parking, and having to change in a cold change room is a definite no.

Shopping online provides a few advantages such as a larger and more unique selection than what you may find in a retail store.  It also may provide better price points. 

Up until now, I'd never purchased a bra online and would usually do the whole in-store thing. So, I decided to partner with Designer Intimates and took the plunge.  The whole process of buying a bra online turned out to be a pretty good experience. I ended up selecting three bras that fit well and were extremely cute.

Tip #1: Know Your Size

Knowing your size is critical.  Bras come in many sizes and to guarantee a better fit they must fit  your specific dimensions.  Your bra should compliment you. Tip #2: Know What You Need & What Best Fits Your Shape

There are many different types of bras.  To make the selection process easier, know what type you need. i.e.  a strapless or a push-up bra. Each type of bra looks and fits better with certain body types. For example, if you are full busted then an bra offering full coverage and support would work better than one that does not.

Tip #3: Understand the Return Policy

The return policy for any online purchase is very important just in case you're not satisfied with your purchase or it doesn't fit as well as you'd like. I would advise you to read and understand the return policy before making a purchase. Also be aware of the shipping and handling fees, and money vs store credit for returns.

Tip #4: Pay Attention to the Fine Print

Read descriptions well to make sure you understand your purchase.  You may also find important details in the fine print.  i.e. the fabrics used in the bra or care instructions.
