Fashion 9-5: The Polka Dot Skirt And The Yellow Trench Coat

I have not been able to do a "fashion 9-5" post in awhile. However, today I'm giving my business causal wearing ladies some fun inspiration with colour and polka dots.
Did you ever imagine that combining a polka dot skirt and a bright yellow trench coat, would actually look this chic and be appropriate for the workplace?  I didn't until now.

Monochrome with Black Culottes And A Pop of Fuschia

The black culottes are back! But this time I styled them a little differently than the first time, which you can see here. 
All the items used in this outfit are basic pieces that were already in my closet and are put together in a simple way.

This week’s item for"currently crushing on"..is a casual girl's best friend. I was at work on Monday and I proceeded to sit on my chair like I do every work day. The next thing I heard was a loud “rippp” sound from the seams of my pant pulling apart. Within seconds my bottom was more or less exposed *hides face in shame*. The bright side was that my coworker and I were the only ones present at the time. After a few minutes of uncontrollable laugher I made my way to the closest store which happened to be a Joe Fresh. My bottom was covered with a sweater to hide the huge rip so I could get some replacement pants.

The Fringe Jacket

I love finding unique finds to add to my closet and one of the best places to find them is at vintage, consignment or thrift stores. Fringe is huge this season and can be found on everything from jackets, accessories, skirts and dresses. Therefore, I was quite fortunate to find this vintage fringe jacket at one of my favourite vintage stores in downtown Toronto.
I paired the jacket with a white blouse and jeans to give the look a crisp and spring feel. I then finished the look off with a similar color heel to the jacket to complete the look.

This is the second time I'm writing and posting because my first post was deleted, and I'm still unsure why. So, I thought I would rewrite and repost it with my fingers crossed that it does not happen again.

Ladies if you have Instagram then you likely have seen the various pages promoting and selling GORGEOUS African print maxi skirts. Am I the only person that openly drools over them in the comfort (and privacy) of my own home?
